There is nothing like the joy of Christmas through the eyes of a child. I have spent the past month scouring the internet for deals so that we can all have a nice (but in budget) Christmas.
Yesterday we decided to take a break. I went to brunch with a couple of my blogging friends and our families. We spent some time writing letters to Santa to drop off at Macy’s. If you remember, I posted about Santa coming to Macy’s today. You can read all about it over here. Part of that post mentions letters to Santa that you can drop off in special mailboxes at Macy’s.
Why would you want to drop off letters at Macy’s?
1. Because it is SO much fun! We had a blast writing the letters. I helped my little one write her letter and she had so much fun drawing all over the little cards that Macy’s provides at their store. My four year old wants Legos!! Only Legos! She is obsessed with the “Girl Legos.” So we told her what letters to write and she was so proud that she wrote her first letter to Santa. Really, it was such a special moment for all of us to slow down and spend some time as a family enjoying our sweet children. The sparkle in their eyes and their excitement as they wrote the letters was something really magical.
2. For each of the stamped letters that is dropped in the special Santa Mailbox at Macy’s, they will donate $1 to Make A Wish up to $1,000,00!! What an amazing cause. What an easy way for each of us to help out a child in need. I am so blessed to have my little family and the things that we have. I would hope that everyone would take just a few minutes to write a little letter and drop it in the box. Think of the difference that we can make to a child who is suffering. You can even create your letter online.
Make sure to put stamps on your letters. Their website says that each letter will be counted and then forwarded on to The North Pole and to Santa.
Then, just head on over to your local Macy’s and look for the Super Cute Santa Mailbox with Virginia on the sign. They will have cards for you to fill out right there, or do like we did and make your own before. Make sure to take a lot of pictures. It is so much fun and something you will want to remember.
Just look at how happy it made my kiddos.
{Sorry for the grainy camera pictures – I just had to share because they were so cute}

It was so nice to meet you! I hope we get another chance soon and can chat more. It was a fun morning and your girls are absolute dolls!
Thanks Holly! It was so great to meet you too. I wish we could have chatted more. It is always hard with the kiddos in tow.
