Jessie’s Critter Carousel
This all-ages ride is located in Disney California Adventure Park. Part of the Pixar Pier “neighborhoods,” Jessie’s Critter Carousel delights little cowboys and cowgirls who are fans of the Toy Story franchise. Hop aboard a little critter and take a spin before moseying over to Señor Buzz’s churro stand nearby.
Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run
One of two new rides debuting in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run will be up and running when the new land opens. With six seats, you can choose your adventure as either a pilot, gunner or even engineer aboard the Millennium Falcon. You’ll have a different experience with each role, and it’s destined to be an out-of-this-galaxy experience.
Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind
In the Inside Out “neighborhood” at Pixar Pier, you’ll find the Emotional Whirlwind ride (summer 2019). This experience is modeled after the workplace of Riley’s emotions, namely Joy, Sadness, Fear, Disgust and Anger. “Memory Movers” will take you on a spin, or whirlwind, of emotions and colors all inspired by the Inside Out film.
#2 – Reasons to Visit Disneyland – Attractions
Disney is known for top-notch entertainment, and some of the new attractions at the resort definitely live up to that expectation. The shows and iconic landmarks are among our favorite reasons to visit Disneyland with family. It’s fun to see how they evolve and grow every time we see them!
World of Color
This dazzling water, projection and light show has returned to the Resort as of 2019. This display of water, lights, pyrotechnics and music takes place in Paradise Gardens located in Disney California Adventure Park. Scenes from classic and beloved Disney and Pixar films are projected throughout, wowing audiences of all ages.
Additionally, World of Color will feature a villainous overlay during Halloween Time’s Oogie Boogie Bash. Just a reminder, the Bash is a separate ticketed event, so if you want to see World of Color in a whole new way, you will need to purchase tickets.
Mickey’s PhilharMagic
Another new attraction in Disney California Adventure Park is Mickey’s PhilharMagic. Watch Donald in this 3D show as he gets a little too curious and encounters some unexpected experiences when he gets his hands on Mickey’s sorcerer hat and conductor’s baton. Guests will tag along for the ride, enjoying music from Disney classics such as “Aladdin,” “The Little Mermaid” and more.
Sleeping Beauty’s Castle
Did you hear that Sleeping Beauty’s Castle was undergoing refurbishment? It closed for about four months, using some one-of-a-kind murals as a placeholder for guests visiting Disneyland. The exterior received a color refresh, making a beautiful new backdrop for your Disneyland photos. The pinks, blues and golds definitely help the castle stand out as it never did before.
#3 – Reasons to Visit Disneyland – Dining
Disney food is life for so many of us *wink wink*. From churros to Dole Whips, food is probably one of the top reasons to visit Disneyland! There is almost always something special and new to try, and here are a couple we think you should know about.
Black Tap Craft Burgers & Shakes
New in Downtown Disney District is Black Tap Craft Burgers & Shakes. Famous for their photo-worthy, over-the-top shake creations, Black Tap can be accessed without theme park admission. This Black Tap location features a shake window, which can cut down on wait time for those who won’t be having a meal in addition to their dessert.
Splitsville Luxury Lanes
More than just a bowling alley, Splitsville Luxury Lanes in Downtown Disney District offers delicious eats as well. We all know half the reason to visit Disneyland is to enjoy good food, and Splitsville delivers! In addition to menu items such as margherita pizza, burgers, salads, sushi and loaded fries, Splitsville also boasts two craft cocktail bars and live entertainment year round.
Mobile Ordering
Did you know that many food vendors in Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park allow you to utilize mobile ordering to beat crowds? It’s such a convenient, free feature in the official Disneyland app. From anywhere in the Resort you can log in to the app, search the mobile ordering options and browse menus. You can order and pay for your selections and pick up from the vendor when it’s ready. This can save a lot of time and hassle when it comes to dining in Disneyland.
#4 – Reasons to Visit Disneyland – Discount Disneyland Tickets with MaxPass
We did share a little about this in a past article, but we have to say it again!
