If you’re like me, sometimes you need a quick cinnamon roll fix but didn’t plan ahead and don’t have 2-3 hours to wait for your perfect cinnamon rolls to finish which is why I am so excited to share with you this quick, simple cinnamon roll recipe.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3/4 cup milk
Filling:
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 teaspoons cinnamon
Glaze:
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3-6 tablespoons hot water
Directions:
Mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in butter. Stir in milk to create a dough. Roll out dough into a rectangle about 1/4 inches thick.
Combine filling ingredients in a small bowl. Spread filling mixture over rectangle dough.
Roll up the rectangle from long side to long side and with a sharp knife, slice into 12-18 rolls.
Use melted butter and spread over the bottom of a 9×9 pan. Take some white sugar and sprinkle the bottom of the pan. Lay each roll into the pan.
Bake for 20-25 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Meanwhile, combine butter, sugar, and vanilla. Add hot water 1 tablespoon at a time until the glaze reaches the desired consistency. Spread over slightly cooled rolls.
