Have you ever been to a hot air balloon festival? I have not, but I’ll bet it’s amazing! I can’t go this year (more about that later), but if you’re free on August 10, head to Storm Mountain Park at 11400 South 1000 East at 7 am to catch the sunrise balloon launches during the Sandy Hot Air Balloon Festival! Go early, and you might find a balloon pilot that needs help to crew a balloon!
On August 11, you can watch the “balloon glow” at the South Towne Promenade (10000 South 173 West) around 8 pm.
Food will be available for purchase at these events, and at South Towne you’ll also enjoy free entertainment from The Folka Dots!
Also, keep your camera handy, and submit it for entry to the Sandy Balloon Festival photo contest!
