After the tragic and devastating events on Newtown this past week, it is easy to loose faith in humanity. I know I have been heartbroken for all those mothers, children and even the survivors that witnessed such awful moments.
The Today Show has launched a list of ideas to inspire random acts of kindness and suggested that we honor the 26 victims from Friday by doing 26 acts of kindness in their memory. I hope we don’t stop at 26 – I hope those 26 acts are a start to keep it going and add happiness and peace to our society. What will your random act of kindness?? It would be fun to share your ideas and experiences and add to the ripple effect.
Today we are going to take a treat to our local community first responders. What will you do?
Last night we paid the admission for the car behind us at Thanksgiving Point’s Christmas lights, today I am donating blood (which I encourage everyone to do).
Great idea Heather – thank you! For anyone else wanting to donate blood – here is a link to the Red Cross website where you can find a nearby location. http://www.redcrossblood.org/
