Before all of the super craziness of the Christmas shopping season starts, my family decided to take a quick little vacation down to Las Vegas. Yep, that’s right, I said it. Family Vacation and Las Vegas all in the same sentence.
It seems like many people are pretty shocked to hear that we take our family to Vegas at least a few times each year. Last year we actually had Christmas in Las Vegas. My girls loved it and were thrilled when Santa found them even though we were on vacation.
Vegas can be a GREAT place for families. In fact, I’m hoping to share more of my trips to show you how Vegas can be great for families and couples alike. It is a relatively short drive and there is SO much to do.
This trip we decided to take our kids to see a show. This was their first show in Vegas, and of course we needed it to be fun and family friendly. When we told them that we were going to see a magic show they were so excited!
The Nathan Burton Comedy Magic Show invited us to come see what they were all about and they didn’t disappoint. Unfortunately, you aren’t supposed to take pictures during the show (I might have gotten in trouble… Ha) so most of my pictures are from their website, but you will get the idea.
The Nathan Burton Comedy Magic Show took place at the Sax Theater in Planet Hollywood. When we first walked in I was surprised at the size of the theater. It is actually much smaller than I expected. This is great because there isn’t a bad seat in the house. The seating was very comfortable and was perfect for the 90 minute show.
The pre-show before was so much fun and got us laughing and excited for the main event. The fun comedy skit was put on by Russ Merlin. We are still laughing about some of the fun improv he had 4 people from the audience perform.
The main show was thrilling! Nathan was fun and his tricks are Amazing! This is serious magic! I’m still baffled by how?! He is extremely talented. My girls loved it as well. They haven’t stopped talking about it.
If you are super super sensitive about women dressed in bikinis, then this isn’t the show for you. As he does have his “assistants” and there are a few innuendos and some “dancing”. We weren’t bothered by them but it is something to take note. We took my nephew who was 6 as well as my dad and brother and they all loved it.

This was an amazing show and when you find yourself in Vegas I would be sure to stop in and spend an hour or two with Nathan Burton. You will be amazed and thrilled.
I think it is also important to mention that this is a family run business. This show is owned and operated by Nathan Burton’s family. His sister is even in part of the show. I got to meet and speak with both his mom and his sister and everyone was super nice. I love supporting small business and it was great to do that while in Vegas as well.
