Lagoon

We are headed to the SL Valley for a week this summer and you know it!  Lagoon is on the list of hot spots to hit.  I’ve been checking out the BEST way to do Lagoon in my budget, so I thought I’d pass along some of the deals I’ve seen.  If you are aware of any other promotions – please leave us a comment so we can share with other readers!  Here are the REGULAR ticket prices:

  • Regular $45.95 + tax (51 inches in height to 64 years of age)
  • Kinder $40.95 + tax (4 years of age up to 50 inches in height)
  • Senior Citizen $40.95 + tax (65 years of age and older)
  • Toddler $29.95 + tax (3 years of age and under)

BEST DISCOUNT: If you make a purchase from Deseret Book (the cheapest item I am seeing is the $1.99 CD Music Sampler) you can get a coupon for a day pass at $33.30, so with the price of the CD that comes to $35.29 each.  You can also purchase just one book of $10 or more and that will allow you to get 4 of the coupons.

*Keep in mind* this option has a lot of black out dates (JUNE 2-6, 9, 15-16, 22-23, 29-30, JULY 7, 13-14, 20-21, 28, AUGUST 3-4, 10-11, 17-23, 25-30, SEPTEMBER 1, 3-6, 8-13.), so your days are limited that you can use your voucher.

2nd BEST DISCOUNT: Bring a coca cola can with you – turn it in as you are purchasing your tickets and you will save $5 on a Regular Single Day Passport ($45.95 + tax) purchased before 12 noon..  Not valid on Saturdays.  One can is valid for up to 6 people.

If you are going to repeat a trip to Lagoon – don’t forget about the BounceBack! pass:

  1. Visit Lagoon Friday, June 14 through Saturday, August 17, 2013.
  2. Validate your SINGLE DAY PASSPORT during your visit.
(Validation Booths located inside the Main Entrance Gates)
  3. BOUNCEBACK to Lagoon any single day within 10 operational days of your
validation date for only $11 (+tax) with your validation coupon.
It says on their website there are some date restrictions, but does not give a list of them.  Check your bounceback pass for more details.

MILITARY DISCOUNT:

Active military personnel can purchase a regular day pass for $31.00 + tax, dependents and retired personnel can purchase a regular day pass for $40.95 + tax.  You will need to print this coupon and take it with you on the day of your purchase.  No black out dates!

(Thanks Today’s Mama for the Deseret Book details!)

  • We are recent members of the Utah Farm Bureau (for home/auto insurance). Apparently, members can get a single day pass for $36.75 ea (including tax). Of course, it’s not as cheap as the Deseret Book deal, but there’s no blackout dates (though it does say advance purchase only). So if you are (or know someone who is) a member of the UT Farm Bureau, check it out!

    • Thanks, Lisa! My brother is a Farm Bureau member in Idaho and got us the same deal last year for my daughter’s birthday. Plus you’ll get food vouchers included, so you’ll get a meal and snacks while you’re in the park! It’s a great deal.

    • I am not sure. According to their website it says “Present a Coca Cola can and SAVE $5 on a Regular Single Day Passport ($45.95 + tax) purchased before 12 noon. One can valid for up to six 6) people. Not valid on Saturdays or with any other offer. Offer expires 10/27/2013.” You could try calling guest relations at (801) 451-8000 to find out though. Let us know!

      • I remember calling about this last month and their automated voice mail system only says to bring an empty Coke can or specially marked Coke cup Sunday-Friday to receive a $5 discount on “Regular” passes only (meaning Kinder, Toddler & Senior tix are excluded). It never said anything about the can having to be specially marked. I didn’t end up having to use the can because my work offered discounted tickets to us at a better rate.
