Planning on visiting Disneyland this year? If so, you’ll want to get your kids their tickets now! I know that seems so weird, since the park is closed. But through May 18, our favorite travel partner Get Away Today has them on sale at a savings of up to $111 for travel through December 15, 2020. So if you’re considering booking a trip once the parks open, you’ll save big by getting your children’s tickets now. But what if Disneyland doesn’t open, or doesn’t open in a way that works for your family? Here are my thoughts.
I had a Disneyland trip booked with Get Away Today this year for spring break. The park closed 2 weeks before we were to leave. Get Away Today gave me the option of getting a refund on my tickets and hotel or getting a credit to hold on my account for a future trip. I would get a full refund, because I’d invested in their $75 Peace of Mind Plan. If I hadn’t invested in that, I could have canceled my entire vacation for $150 or if I’d just had tickets, those could be canceled for $50. But Get Away Today went above and beyond and waived all change fees, allowing their customers to reschedule their trips, and they also offered the option of having a full credit of what had already been paid applied to their account for future travel. I promise, Get Away Today loves their customers and is doing their best to make sure we’re taken care of. through December 15, 2020. *Disneyland has changed the expiration dates of these tickets to December 16, 2021. There are blackout dates, which can be found HERE. - If you choose to cancel those tickets, any cancellations must be made by July 24, 2020, otherwise your tickets will become non-refundable. If your tickets become non-refundable, they do not lose their value and may be applied to another ticket for travel at a later date. Regular cancellation policies will apply.
I know that both Get Away Today and Disneyland will do whatever they can to keep guests happy, so I’m confident in buying my kids’ tickets now to save the money on a future trip, even if I’m not sure exactly when that will be.
