But don’t just sign up for the program! Purchasing regular theme park tickets through Get Away Today FIRST has five benefits you won’t want to miss out on. How? All tickets purchased through Get Away Today (except for the California Resident Ticket offer) can be upgraded to any of the Magic Key Passes while guests are at the Parks beginning August 25, 2021!
Benefit #1: Save on Disneyland Resort Tickets, but apply the full ticket value towards any Magic Key Pass
- Guests will be able to easily upgrade their discounted Disneyland Resort tickets purchased through Get Away Today through the Disneyland app or at a ticket booth on the last day of their ticket, as long as the last day of their ticket is on or after August 25, 2021. Tickets purchased through Get Away Today are $2-$20 cheaper than purchasing directly through Disneyland. When you buy a 5-Day Disneyland® Resort 1-Park per Day or Park Hopper® Ticket, you’ll just pay the 4-Day gate price, a $20 savings per ticket over the gate price. This is the best ticket to get if you’re considering upgrading to Magic Key.
Benefit #2: Make reservations earlier
- You’ll be able to make initial theme park reservations up to 120 days in advance (Magic Key holders can only make reservations 90 days in advance).
Benefit #3: Go any day of the year, no matter what Magic Key you plan to get
- There are NO blackout dates on your multi-day tickets purchased through Get Away Today, but there are blackout dates for all but the most expensive annual pass. Avoid these blackout dates by first purchasing your tickets at Get Away Today then upgrading on the last day of your ticket.

Benefit #5: Make payments on your trip, even if you’re not a SoCal resident.
- Taking a Disneyland trip will give your family so many special memories, but it can be expensive! SoCal residents can make monthly payments on their annual passes, but if you don’t live in those specific zip codes you’ll need to pay for it all up front. Get Away Today has their own payment plans available no matter where you live with their interest-free Laway Plan. After your initial $175 down payment, payments don’t even need to be made monthly; you can make them as often as you’d like for any amount you’d like! While this isn’t exactly the same as paying for an annual pass in monthly installments, you can pay for the rest of your trip, including the hotel, this way. By booking early, you’ll be able to lock-in the best hotel availability and have the flexibility to pay as you go. Make as many interest-free payments as you’d like, whenever you’d like, with final payment due just seven days prior to travel.
