Happy Memorial Day! I am always grateful to be an American, but love the holidays where particular great blessings are brought to mind along with all the festivities and BBQ’s. Both my dad and father-in-law have been active Navy members and served our country. My grandpa as well (pictured above) – although given a medical pass – signed up to be a row-man in WWII so as not to sit on the side lines and idly enjoy the freedoms that others were fighting and dying for. Likewise I hope we will all get informed and be involved in the upcoming election season – it’s probably one of the best ways we can truly thank them for their service – by voting for those who will uphold the freedoms so many paid the ultimate price for.
